On 24 August 2020, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, and Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, attended the 29th Meeting of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC), in the online format.
The 29th BSPC was attended by more than 150 participants. The Conference was chaired by Mr. Valerijus Simulik, President of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference.

On 19-20 August 2020, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, and Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, attended the virtual Fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament.
The Plenary Session was attended by the national delegations from the parliaments of the Republic of Albania, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Bulgaria, Georgia, the Hellenic Republic, the Republic of Moldova, Romania, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of Turkey, and Ukraine.
The Meetings of the Bureau of the Assembly and the Standing Committee were held online on 6 August 2020 and were chaired by Mr. Archil Talakvadze, PABSEC President, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia.
On 15 July 2020, The PABSEC Deputy Secretary General Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis attended the virtual Parliamentary Forum “The Big Reset: Learning from COVID-19 to fast-track the SDGs” at the United Nations High-level Political Forum on sustainable development (HLPF), organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, attended the online webinar entitled “Building back better: Lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic to enhance the role of parliaments in disaster risk reduction”, jointly organized by the IPU, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), on 9 July 2020.
The 55th Meeting of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee was organised online on 9 July 2020 with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat. The national delegations of Albania. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, and Turkey took part in the Meeting. Mr. Mikhail Emelianov, Chairman of the Committee (Russia) chaired the Meeting.
