The Special Meeting of the PABSEC Standing Committee marking the day of the establishment of the PABSEC was held in Istanbul on 4 March 2020. The Meeting was attended by the heads of the national delegations of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine, as well as the delegation of the Legislative Assembly of the Rostov Region as a PABSEC partner.
The First 2020 Meeting of the Working Group on the PABSEC Rules of Procedure was held in Istanbul on 4 March 2020. The Meeting was attended by the national delegations of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
The 82nd meeting of the Inland Transport Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN ECE ITC) was held in Geneva on 24-28 February 2020. At the meeting, the PABSEC International Secretariat was represented by Mrs. Natia Gaprindashvili, Advisor to the Secretary General – Press Secretary.
Mrs. Anush Begloian, the PABSEC Vice-President, Member of the Armenian Delegation to PABSEC accompanied by Mr. Artur Martirosyan, Secretary of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee, participated in the Meeting of the OECD Global Parliamentary Network, which took place in Paris, on 24-26 February 2020.
On 26 February 2020, Mr. Alexey Shved, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
The 19th Winter Meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA) was held on 20-21 February 2020 in Vienna, at the Hofburg Congress Center. At this event, the PABSEC was represented by Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
The PABSEC Vice-President and Head of the PABSEC Hellenic delegation Mr. Symeon Kedikoglou and the PABSEC Deputy Secretary General Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis participated to the 14th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), which took place on 19-21 February in Athens upon the invitation of the Hellenic Parliament.
The Parliamentary Hearings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union at the UN on the theme “Ensure Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education and Promote Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All” were held on 17-18 February 2020 at the UN Headquarters in New York. The PABSEC was represented at this meeting by Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
