Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the International Conference "Legislative Regulation of Measures to Counter the Use of Artificial Intelligence and Other New Technologies for Terrorist Activities", jointly organized by the UN Office of Counter Terrorism, the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Member Nations of the CIS and the International Committee of the Red Cross in St. Petersburg on 17 April 2025.
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, which was held at the BSEC Headquarters in Istanbul on 16 April 2025.
On 15 April 2025, Mr. Fokion Zaimis, President of the Balkan and Black Sea Commission of the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions of the European Union (CPMR), Deputy Governor of e Achaia of Western Greece Region, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with the Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum on “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World”, which was held at the Nest Congress Centre in Antalya from 11 to 13 April 2025 under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Türkiye.
The 64th Meeting of the PABSEC Committee on Economic Policy and Development was held in Bucharest (Romania) on 9 April 2025, at the invitation of the Parliament of Romania. The Meeting was attended by the national delegations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Türkiye and Ukraine, as well as a representative of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat and members of the PABSEC International Secretariat. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Oleksandr Marikovskyi, Chairman of the Committee, member of the PABSEC Ukrainian delegation.
Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, PABSEC President, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, the PABSEC Secretary General took part in the 150th Anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which was held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) on 5-9 April 2025, in the Tashkent City Congress Centre.
On 1 April 2025, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, the PABSEC Secretary General, visited Baku on a working visit and met with Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, PABSEC President, President of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
