On 29 April 2023, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, met Mr. Mustafa Sentop, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT), in Istanbul.
Mr. Cemal Ozturk, PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, attended the 12th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), which was organized in Ankara, on 28 April 2023 upon the invitation of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.
The second meeting of the 2023 Working Group on the PABSEC Rules of Procedure was held online on 11 April 2023 with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat. The Meeting was attended by the national delegations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, the Republic of Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
The 2nd Meeting of the PABSEC Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee was held online on 11 April 2023 with the technical support of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Meeting was attended by the national delegations of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Greece, the Republic of Moldova, Russia, Serbia and Turkey
The 60th meeting of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial, and Financial Affairs Committee was held online on 7 April 2023 with the technical support of the Parliament of Georgia. The Meeting was attended by the national delegations of Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, the Republic of Moldova, North Macedonia, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.
On 5 April 2023, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, and Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, took part in the Meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, which was organized in the BSEC Headquarters in Istanbul.
On 4 April 2023, Mr. Julien Thoni, Consul General of Switzerland in Istanbul, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
The PABSEC Delegation, composed of Mr. Cemal Ozturk, PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation, Ms. Mariana Cusnir, Head of the PABSEC Moldovan Delegation, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the observation mission for parliamentary elections in Sofia (Republic of Bulgaria) on 2 April 2023. The Delegation was accompanied by Mrs. Pavlina Lozanova, Secretary of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee and Ms. Fikriye Yakistiran, Secretary of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation.
Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General participated in the Science – Policy Dialogue Forum for a Sustainable Blue Economy in the Black Sea, that took place on 28-29 March 2023 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
