On 23 February 2024, the Meeting of the Working Group on the PABSEC Rules of Procedure was held with the participation of representatives of the national delegations of all 12 countries.
The meeting of the Draft Budget and Auditing Commission was held at the PABSEC International Secretariat on 22 February 2024.
On 21-22 February 2024, Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, PABSEC Vice-President (Georgia) and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the 27th Eurasian Economic Summit, organized by the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation.
On 15 February 2024, the former President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova, academician Gheorghe Duca, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
On 14 February 2024, upon the initiative of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation the First Meeting of the Presidents of the Academies of Sciences of the BSEC Member States with the participation of Rectors of leading Turkish universities was organized in Istanbul. The Meeting was attended by the representatives of the Academies of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Türkiye, Ukraine, as well as the Black Sea Universities’ Network.
On 13 February 2024, Academician Ibrahim Guliyev, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
On 8-9 February 2024, Mr. Yilmaz Buyukaydın, member of the PABSEC Turkish delegation, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the 2024 Parliamentary Hearings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union at the UN, in New York, in which participated the parliamentarians from IPU Member Parliaments, representatives of international organizations, experts and high officials.
On 5-8 February 2024, the PABSEC delegation, consisting of Mr. Petar Kunev, PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the PABSEC Bulgarian Delegation, Mr. Ramaz Nikolayshvili, PABSEC Vice-President, Member of the PABSEC Georgian Delegation, Mr. Konstantinos Vlasis, Head of the PABSEC Hellenic Delegation, Mr. Daniel Constantin, PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the PABSEC Romanian Delegation, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the observation mission for the early presidential elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Prof. Dr. Recep Yıldızhan, Chairman of the All Bureaucrats and Businessmen Association (TUMBİAD) Mr. Can Çobanoğlu, Chairman of TUMBİAD Advisory Board and Mr. Arif Ekşi, TÜMBİAD Chief Executive Officer visited the PABSEC International Secretariat on 1 February 2024 and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the Coordination Meeting of the Albanian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office with the Committee of Senior Officials, the BSEC Related Bodies and the BSEC PERMIS, which was held at the BSEC Headquarters in Istanbul, on 31 January 2024.
