Working Visit of Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, to Rize (Republic of Türkiye), 10 July 2024
On 10 July 2024, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, visited the city of Rize with the aim to participate in the preparatory work for the organisation of an international event in Ayder (Rize, Republic of Türkiye) on 27-30 September 2024.
In the framework of this visit a meeting was organised with the participation of Mr. İhsan Selim Baydaş, Governor of Rize, representatives of the Rize Municipality and local administrations, the Rector of the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, Rize Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Executive Board officials of the non-governmental organizations, initiators of this event, All Bureaucrats and Businessmen Association (TÜMBİAD), and Bureaucrats and Businessmen Association of Rize City (RİBİAD) as well as representatives of local institutions and organizations.
The draft agenda and program were discussed and the responsibilities of the organisers were evaluated.
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, expressed his appreciation for organising such an important event said that PABSEC will ensure participation of the parliamentarians from the BSEC Member States. The Secretary General mentioned that such events organized by non-governmental organizations and local governments are of great importance for enhancing cooperation among the BSEC Member States and emphasized that PABSEC always supports activities promoting peace, stability and development in the Wider Black Sea Region. Mr. Hajiyev expressed readiness to provide necessary support to the organisers of the event.
In the framework of the visit Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, visited the meeting venue and planned social activity areas. During the visit in Rize, Mr. Hajiyev was accompanied by Mr. Mücahit Arslan, Deputy Chairman of Foreign Relations and Protocol Department of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, and Mr. Ali Gürkan Üstündağ, Administrative Officer of the PABSEC International Secretariat.
