Ms. Roberta Alma Anastase, PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the PABSEC Romanian Delegation and Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, participated in the 140th IPU Assembly, which took place in Doha (State of Qatar), on 6-10 April 2019.
On 4 April 2019 in Sofia was organized the International conference on “Inter-basin Cooperation on Marine Litter: a Focus on the Danube River and the Black Sea”, in which took part Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General. The Conference was organized in the framework of the Bulgarian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office by the BSEC and the ICBSS and was supported by the PABSEC, the Central European Initiative Cooperation Fund and the European Commission.
The Supplementary Meeting of the First 2019 Meeting of the Working Group on the PABSEC Rules of Procedure was held in Istanbul on 2 April 2019. The national delegations of Albania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Greece, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine took part in the Meeting.
On 2 April 2019, the Joint Meeting of the Standing Committees of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference on the topic “Safeguarding our Oceans and Marine Life” was held in Istanbul. The Meeting was attended by parliamentarians from Albania, Azerbaijan, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey and Ukraine, as well as experts in these issues from the international organizations in Turkey and Finland.

Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, the PABSEC Secretary General, took part in 2019 Anti-Corruption Forum of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on “Tech for Trust”, which was held in Paris on 20-22 March 2019.
Mr. Cemal Öztürk, PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation, accompanied by Mr. Ali Gürkan Üstündağ, Administrator of the PABSEC International Secretariat, participated in the 14th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States (PUIC), which took place in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, on 13-14 March 2019.
On 14 March 2019, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, the PABSEC Secretary General, met with Mr. Irakli Kobakhidze, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia. The Secretary General informed the Chairman of the Parliament about the current activities of the Parliamentary Assembly.
On 11 March 2019, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, the PABSEC Secretary General, paid a working visit to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT) in Ankara. He had meetings with Mr. Mustafa Sentop, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Mr. Ismail Kahraman, the former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and former PABSEC President, Mr. Yunus Kılıç, Chairman of the GNAT Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs and Mr. Cemal Ozturk, the PABSEC Vice-President and the Head of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation.
