The 55th Meeting of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee was held online on 7 October 2020 with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat. The Meeting was attended by the national delegations from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Metin Gundogdu, Chairman of the Committee (Turkey).

The 55th Meeting of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee on was held online on 7 October 2020 with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat. National delegations from Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine took part in the Meeting. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Constantin-Catalin Zamfira, Chairman of the Committee (Romania).

Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat to the virtual debate “COVID-19 and democracy: Can parliaments come to the rescue?”, IPU, 15 September 2020

On 15 September 2020, the PABSEC Deputy Secretary General Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis attended an informal virtual interactive panel debate for International Day of Democracy, titled “COVID-19 and democracy: Can parliaments come to the rescue?”. The event was organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in partnership with the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory at Arizona State University.

Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat in the 29th Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC) – Vision 2030: Acting for the Future of the Baltic Sea Region, 24 August 2020

On 24 August 2020, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, and Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, attended the 29th Meeting of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference (BSPC), in the online format. 
The 29th BSPC was attended by more than 150 participants. The Conference was chaired by Mr. Valerijus Simulik, President of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference.
