Mr. Igor Becic, Head of the PABSEC Serbian Delegation, participated on the behalf of the PABSEC, in the Joint High-level Parliamentary Conference entitled “Investments and Trade Facilitation in the Western Balkans”, held in Belgrade, on 12-13 July 2018. This Conference was hosted by the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and co-organized by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) and the World Trade Organization (WTO).

During 7 – 11 July 2018, the PABSEC Delegation composed of Mr. Otari Danelia, PABSEC Vice-President and Head of the PABSEC Georgian Delegation, Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Vice-Chairman of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee and Member of the PABSEC Georgian Delegation, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the 27th Annual Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA) held at the seat of the German Bundestag, in Berlin.

Study Visit to the PABSEC International Secretariat, 9 July 2018, Istanbul

On the occasion of the Summer School on Modern Integration Processes, organised by the Network for Developing European Studies in the Caucasus, which is an Erasmus Jean Monnet Network of higher education institutions, designed in order to enhance the level of the European Studies in the Caucasus Region and hosted by the Yeditepe University in Istanbul, a group of academicians and students of several universities, paid a study visit to the PABSEC International Secretariat, on 9 July 2018.

Participation of Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, in the NATO PA 98th Rose-Roth Seminar, Skopje, 27-29 June 2018

During 27-29 June 2018, Mr. Daniel Dulca, Deputy Secretary General of the PABSEC, participated in the 98th NATO PA Rose-Roth Seminar, in Skopje. The key objective of the Rose-Roth Seminars is to facilitate the dialogue on regional security matters between the NATO legislators and the partner nations. The event was organized by the NATO PA, in cooperation with the Assembly of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, benefiting also from the generous support of the Swiss Government and the Geneva Center for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF).

Mr. Konstantinos Morfidis, Head of the PABSEC Hellenic delegation and Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, participated in the 25th Anniversary of the I.A.O. General Assembly, which took place in Athens, on 25-29 June 2018. More than 100 MPs from twenty-five I.A.O. member states parliaments and the representatives of several interparliamentary organizations participated in this event, which was hosted by the Hellenic Parliament. The subject of the General Debate was "Parliamentary Democracy and Christian Values: 25 Years Interparliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy".
