On 20-21 January 2022, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, visited the headquarters of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the Tavricheskiy Palace in St. Petersburg and met with the leadership of the Secretariat of the IPA CIS Council
On 18 January 2022, Ambassador Lazar Comanescu, Secretary General of the Permanent International Secretariat of the BSEC Organization, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, and Mr. Miltiadis Makrigyannis, Deputy Secretary General, participated in the 44th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the BSEC Member States, which took place online, on 17 December 2021.
On 24 December 2021, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, visited the Headquarters of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TURKPA) in Baku and met with Mr. Mehmet Sureyya Er, TURKPA Secretary General.
On 23 December 2021, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, paid a working visit to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and had meetings with the PABSEC Azerbaijani Delegation and the Secretary General of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
On 16 December 2021, Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, took part in the Meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials, which was organized in the format of a videoconference.
On 15 December 2021, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, paid a working visit to Chisinau (Republic of Moldova) and had meetings in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
On 9-10 December 2021, the PABSEC Delegation composed of Mr. Peter Kanev, Head of the PABSEC Bulgarian Delegation, Chairman of the PABSEC Economic, Trade and Financial Affairs Committee, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, visited the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and had meetings with its leadership.
Mr. Pavlina Lozanova, PABSEC Secretary of the Legal and Political Affairs Committee, attended the online webinar, jointly organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Adaptation at Altitude programme of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The event was organized in a video-conference format, having as the main theme “Climate change and forced migration in mountain areas: What are the solutions?”, and it took place on 10 December 2021.
