Mr. Daniel Dulca, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General, attended the Virtual Workshop entitled “Universal Health Coverage and Equity: Always Hand in Hand?”, which was organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), on 26 October 2021.
On 25 October 2021, Dr. Mikhail Brodsky, President of Lincoln University (USA, California) visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, the PABSEC Secretary General.
PABSEC Secretary General Mr. Asaf Hajiyev and the Deputy Secretary General Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis participated in the European Conference of Presidents of Parliament of Council of Europe member states.
Ms. Milena Ljubinkovic, Secretary of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial and Financial Affairs Committee took part in several agriculture-related events held online between 18 and 20 October 2021.
On 14 October 2021, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, paid a working visit to Ankara and had meetings with Mr. Mustafa Sentop, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT), Mr. Mehmet Ali Kumbuzoglu, Secretary General of the GNAT, and Mr. Cemal Ozturk, PABSEC Vice-President, Head of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation.
On 13 October 2021, Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, paid a working visit to Athens and took part in a series of activities. He was accompanied by Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General.
The 57th Meeting of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee was held online on 12 October 2021 with the technical support of the PABSEC International Secretariat. National delegations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine, as well as the representative of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia as a guest and the representatives of the BSEC PERMIS took part in the Meeting.
Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the Pre-COP26 Parliamentary Meeting organized by the Italian Chamber of Deputies in cooperation with the Italian Senate and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Rome on 8-9 October 2021.
On 8 October 2021, Ambassador Faruk Kaymakci, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General.
Mr. Miltiadis Makrygiannis, PABSEC Deputy Secretary General participated in the AgriBusiness Forum 4th international edition, which took place in Athens, on 6-7 October 2021.
