The Meetings of the Bureau of the Assembly and the Standing Committee were held on 10 December 2024 in Yerevan within the framework of the 64th PABSEC General Assembly
The meetings of the Bureau of the Assembly and the Standing Committee were held on 10 December 2024 in Yerevan, in a hybrid format, chaired by Mr. Alen Simonyan, PABSEC President, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
The Sixty-Ninth Meeting of the Bureau of the Assembly adopted the following: the Minutes of the Sixty-Eighth Meeting of the Bureau, the draft Agenda of the Sixty-Fourth meeting of the Standing Committee, the draft Agenda of the Sixty-Fourth Plenary Session, the draft Programme of the Sixty-Fourth General Assembly, the Matters of Procedure of the Sixty-Fourth Plenary Session of the PABSEC General Assembly, the Progress Report on the Parliamentary Assembly and the Participation of PABSEC Representatives in International Gatherings in the First Half of 2025. The Bureau took note of the information on the implementation of the 2024 Assembly Budget.
The Bureau appointed Mr. Vlad Nistor, former Head of the PABSEC Romanian Delegation, as the PABSEC Special Representative to the European Parliament and the European Institutions for a term of 5 years and once again appointed Ms. Gohar Evajyan from Armenia as the Secretary of the Special Committee on Documentation starting with 1 March 2026 for the term of 3 years. The Bureau also agreed with the proposal of the PABSEC Secretary General to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Balkan-Black Sea Commission.
The Sixty-Fourth Meeting of the PABSEC Standing Committee approved the Minutes of the Sixty-Third Meeting, adopted the draft Agenda of the Sixty-Fourth Plenary Session of the General Assembly, approved the Progress Report of the Parliamentary Assembly, approved the proposals of the committees on the topics to be considered in the first half of 2025 and adopted the PABSEC 2025 Calendar.
The members of the Standing Committee took note of the information on the participation of PABSEC representatives in international gatherings in the second half of 2024.
The Standing Committee also took note of the information on the receipt of contributions to the 2024 budget.
