Participation of the PABSEC International Secretariat in the Meeting of the BSEC Working Group on Energy, 10 December 2020
Ms. Milena Ljubinkovic, Secretary of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee took part in the BSEC Working Group on Energy organized online on 10 December 2020.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Bulgaria, Georgia, Hellenic Republic, Romania, Russian Federation, Republic of Serbia, Republic of Turkey, and Ukraine, as well as the representatives of the Arab Republic of Egypt that attended the Meeting as the BSEC Observer. The representative of the Energy Policy and Development Centre (KEPA) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Coordinator of the BSEC Green Energy Network participated in the Meeting in the capacity of the BSEC Special Guest.
At the meeting participants discussed and exchanged views on the priorities for the third medium-term (2019−2021) of the “BSEC Economic Agenda Towards an Enhanced BSEC Partnership”. The Working Group took note of the information provided by the BSEC PERMIS on the conclusions and recommendations of the 7th “Green Energy Investment Forum” held online on 7 October 2020 and on the implementation of the initiative “75 UN – 75 trees UNAI SDG7” proposed by the Energy Policy and Development Centre of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
The participants exchanged views on recent developments in the field of energy in the BSEC Member States in current extraordinary conditions caused by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the information on the development of projects having a regional impact.
