63rd Meeting of the PABSEC Committee on Economic and Development Policy, Istanbul, Türkiye, 17 October 2024
The 63rd Meeting of the PABSEC Committee on Economic and Development Policy was held in Istanbul, Türkiye, on 17 October 2024, upon the invitation of the PABSEC International Secretariat.
The Meeting was attended by national delegations of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Türkiye and Ukraine, as well as representatives of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat, the Union of Road Transport Associations, Secretary of the Delegation of the Republic of North Macedonia, and members of the PABSEC International Secretariat. The Meeting was chaired by Mr. Oleksander Markovskyi, Chairman of the Committee, member of PABSEC Ukrainian delegation.
The Committee considered the draft Report and the Recommendation 199/2024 “Transport Infrastructure as a Means of Development in the BSEC Member States”, which will be submitted to the 64th Plenary Session of the General Assembly.
The Committee took note of the information on the activities of the BSEC Organization presented by Mr. Sergii Kravchenko, Executive Manager of the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat.
The Committee also took note of the information on the activities of the Union of Road Transport Associations presented by Mr. Mehmet Uylukcu, Secretary General of the BSEC-URTA.
The next 64th Meeting of the Committee will be held in the spring of 2025 in the Republic of Moldova. It was proposed to discuss “Towards a Greener Future: Cooperation for Technology Solutions in the Black Sea Region” as the main subject. It was decided that the Rapporteur will be Mr. Giorgios Stylios, member of the PABSEC Hellenic delegation.
